More Airnorth flights to Darwin

Airnorth are pleased to announce an increase to their Darwin flight schedule. From the 18 July, Airnorth will be operating four weekly services from Townsville to Darwin every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Airport offers locals the chance to take off to see their friends

The Townsville Airport is launching its 2013 TAKE OFF Campaign – and this year, locals have the chance to win a $1,000 Escape Travel voucher to visit their friends around the country.

Entrants will use a specially built Facebook APP, where they will select three friends they would like to visit. The APP will then put together a virtual Australian postcard, showing their location in Townsville and their friend’s locations. The winner will get the chance to hop on a plane and visit their nominated friends, with the help of Escape Travel making all of their arrangements.

Airport Puts Memories On Show With New History Wall

Townsville’s aviation history is on show in a new history wall erected as part of the Townsville Airport’s rejuvenation project. The Townsville Airport recently invested more than $100,000 on the laying of new carpet, and the recovering of chairs, and will be complementing the departure lounge’s fresh new feel with a visual history of flight in the region.

Townsville Airport Replace Trees Ravaged By Yasi

Townsville Airport will this week replace the trees on airport that were lost during Tropical Cyclone Yasi.

During the cyclone which ravaged the city in February, Townsville Airport lost 38 New Guinea Rosewood trees.
