QUEENSLAND AIRPORTS LIMITED ACHIEVE RECORD PASSENGER NUMBERS
All three airports operated by Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) at Gold Coast, Townsville and Mount Isa, achieved all time monthly passenger throughput records in July. “All three airports service very different markets and it is encouraging to see them all achieve such record results simultaneously,” said Dennis Chant, Managing Director of QAL.

QUEENSLAND AIRPORTS LIMITED - RECORD PASSENGER MOVEMENTS FOR FY2009/2010
The three airports owned and operated by Queensland Airports Limited at Gold Coast, Townsville and Mount Isa had almost 7 million passenger movements for the 2009/10 financial year. This is an increase of 9.7% over the previous year. In a difficult period, all three airports experienced year on year growth. Mount Isa and Townsville recorded growth of 1.2% and 3.8% respectively whilst Gold Coast experienced a strong 12% increase.

TOWNSVILLE AIRPORT BEGINS TRAFFIC AND CAR PARK DEVELOPMENT WORKS
Townsville Airport has this week commenced construction work to the front of the terminal that will also include increasing the size of the existing long-term car park. The project, which is due for completion in late October, will also improve traffic flow at the front of the terminal and improve its external aesthetics. Townsville Airport Chief Operating Officer, Kevin Gill said the project would be broken up into four stages and passengers would notice immediate changes.

QUEENSLAND AIRPORTS LIMITED PASSENGER MOVEMENTS – APRIL 2010
The three airports owned and operated by Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) at Gold Coast, Townsville and Mount Isa recorded almost 600,000 passenger movements collectively for the month of April, an increase of 10% compared to April 2009. Gold Coast Airport continues to record strong growth in both domestic and international travel, up 10% and 27% respectively on the same time last year. More than 448,000 passengers traveled through Gold Coast Airport last month.

TOWNSVILLE AIRPORT WELCOMES NEW TERMINAL AND COMMERCIAL PRECINCT MANAGER
Townsville Airport is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Sharon De Feo as the Terminal and Commercial Precinct Manager. Ms De Feo has an extensive customer service background, having most recently held the role of Queensland State Manager with the 7-Eleven Group for the last eight years. Originally from Townsville, Ms De Feo left the region some 20 years ago, moving back to Townsville from Brisbane in January this year.
