Car Parking

Short term, long term and premium long term car parking facilities are provided at the airport and operate on an automatic system detailed below.

The following prices effective Sunday 21st November 2010:

Short Term Car Parking
Short term parking is available in the short term car park located in front of the terminal building up to a max of 12 hours. Disabled car spaces available.

7 – 8 hours	$17.00
8 – 9 hours	$19.00
9 – 10 hours	$21.00
10 – 11 hours	$23.00
11 – 12 hours	$25.00
12 – 14 hours (Fee restarts after 24 hours)	$27.00

Premium Long Term Car Parking
Premium long term car parking is available next to the short term car park. The area is approximately1 min from terminal and fully fenced. The charges are based on a 24 hr period. Premium Long Term Car park is $17.00 per 24 hours.

Long Term Car Parking
Long term parking is available in the Long Term car park situated across from the short term car park. The charges are based on a 24 period. Disabled car spaces available.

Disabled Parking

Disabled parking bays are located at the front of the short term car park and are conveniently situated as close to the terminal as possible

Parking payment

Push the button located at the boom gates as you enter the car park and take a ticket.
Take the ticket with you
On your return pay for your parking using the ticket at the one of the pay stations conveniently located along the front of the terminal.

The pay stations accept both notes, coins and credit cards. Please note the minimum amount for credit card payment is $10.00. If a receipt is needed please be sure to push the receipt button on the pay station, as it will not automatically print one.

Annual Passes and Stored value Cards

To make parking even more convenient, Annual Passes and Stored Value cards are available for frequent users of the airport car park. Please contact the Townsville airport management centre on (07) 4727 3211 for further details.

Passenger Drop off

Passengers arriving at the airport by car may be dropped off with their luggage at the new drop off area situated across from the front of the terminal building. Drivers are asked not to park kerbside whilst seeing passengers off, or waiting for passengers to arrive, regardless of whether the driver remains with the car. Should visitors wish to stay longer, please follow the road around to the short term car park entry and park the car. The first ten minutes are free of charge.

Parking fines apply to any vehicle parked in contravention of signage on airport.
