Booking Flights for your pet
To arrange air travel for your pets you will need to contact specific Pet Agents for your individual airline.
The airlines work in collaboration with pet agents and are able to accept cats and dogs to travel in the cargo hold of their aircraft.

Collecting your pet
The location to collect your pet from Townsville Airport will depend on the airline that your pet has travelled with.
Qantas: Pick up from Australian Air Express (AAE)
Virgin Cargo operate from a Building on the cnr of Meehan Street and Ingham Road from 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
Out of hours
Outside of those hours pet owners must bring their pet to the Terminal.
Pet owners must park in the Short Term Car Park and walk or carry their pet to the gated enclosure at the southern end of the Front of Terminal. Virgin have a sign which will be highlighting this area. The pet owner must then contact Virgin staff that they are at the airport and the ground handling staff will go to the door and take their pet. The same system will apply if the pet owner is collecting their pet out of hours in reverse.
The Virgin sign must only be installed at the Front of Terminal out of hours and not left in the enclosure. Jet pets dropping off or picking up pets or cages must park in the Commercial loading bays.
