To arrange air travel for your pets you will need to contact the pet agent for your airline. Airlines work in collaboration with pet agents and are able to accept cats and dogs to travel in the cargo hold of their aircraft.
The Qantas Freight building is located just before the airport entry on Coral Sea Drive, and operates from 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Outside of those hours, pet owners must contact Qantas Freight for instructions on 07 4728 2932 or 0415 990 074.
For information on flying your pet with Virgin Australia, you can contact Pet Flyers on 1800 738 359 or Jet Pets on 1300 668 309. Pets arriving or departing on Virgin Australia flights can be collected or dropped off at Virgin Cargo.
Virgin Cargo operates from a building on the corner of Gypsy Moth Court and Viscount Drive for the below hours:

Outside of those hours, pet owners must bring their pet to the terminal. Pet owners must park in the Select car park (located at the front of the terminal) and walk or carry their pet to the gated enclosure at the southern end at the front of the terminal. Virgin Australia has a sign highlighting this area. Contact Virgin Australia on arrival and a ground handler will meet you to collect or deliver your pet.
