Oonoonba State School

With support from Townsville Airport’s Community Benefit Fund, Oonoonba State School brought their vision of a calming sensory garden to life for their prep students. The dedicated space was designed to engage all five senses, featuring scented and edible plants, gentle water features, tactile play sculptures, mirrors and shaded seating. The garden now provides a peaceful environment for learning and play, helping young students better regulate their emotions and explore the natural world.

North Queensland Wildlife Care – Supporting Vulnerable Wildlife

Funding from our Community Benefit Fund helped North Queensland Wildlife Care purchase two specialised incubators and ten Snugglesafe heat disks - vital tools for supporting the recovery of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife. These resources allow volunteer carers to maintain the precise temperatures and humidity levels needed to give vulnerable animals the best chance of survival. The equipment has already made a meaningful impact, improving outcomes for countless native species on their journey to rehabilitation and release back into the wild.
