Northern Australian Aerospace Centre of Excellence (NAACEX)

Located alongside the runway, NAACEX is a dedicated aviation precinct that supports aerospace, defence, maintenance, and training operations. The precinct is currently home to Defence and Flying Colours (aircraft painting) who occupy Code C capable hangars.

Townsville Airport is in the process of finalising approvals to expand the precinct to provide circa 80,000 square metres of land for development. The NAACEX precinct offers direct airside access for up to Code C aircraft.

The precinct is the ideal location for aero-medical, MRO, aviation training, logistics or defence support.
