Townsville Airport will OPEN from 5:30am on Monday, 3 February 2025 to normal operations, however please continue to monitor your flight status ahead of travelling to the airport.
Townsville Airport holds a Plane Spotters Photography Competition annually, to recognise and celebrate the avid community of plane spotters in the Townsville North Queensland region.
Submissions for the 2025 Plane Spotters Photography Competition are now closed.
Thank you to everyone who entered. Photographers of the top 10 images will be contacted and invited airside on Friday 27 June 2025.
The final two winners from both the junior (10-15 years) and 16+ age categories will win a $1,000 Camera House voucher each.
